Fairfield City-Sydney University Waratah Cup netball team will gain some international experience when they take on Fiji next Sunday.
The game, to be played at the Robyn Webster Centre, Homebush Avenue, Tempe, at 7.30pm, will provide some valuable experience for Fairfield City-Sydney University, with the Sydney winter netball season coming to a close.
With four rounds of the Waratah Cup competition to play, FC-SU hold down second position on the competition ladder with a chance of taking out the minor premiership.
The Hunter Jays head the ladder on 24 points, followed by FC-SU on 21, Eastwood-Ryde on 16 and Manly-Warringah, Hills District and Parramatta-Auburn on 12.
FC-SU closed the gap between first and second when they defeated Hunter Jays 54-52 in the last round of matches.
FC-SU also fields teams in Division III and Division VIII of the State League, while the 150-strong Sydney University Netball Club caters for teams in other competitions.
